Wind, Sand & Stars (John McCabe) was commissioned by the IAPS twenty five years ago to mark the centenary of the organisation and Summer Dances (Nicholas Maw) was commissioned in memory of Arthur Harrison, the moving spirit behind the founding of the IAPS Orchestra, the forerunner of NSSO.
