A message from our Artistic Director, John Madden:
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has brought disruption and dismay in its wake, along with a degree of anxiety and uncertainty that the UK has not known in a generation or more. Arts organisations across the world have been impacted by the pandemic and NSSO is no exception. We follow guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England closely in order to support and protect the safety of all NSSO members, their families and our team based at Malvern.
We continue to work purposefully towards the 2020 course, ensuring that the opportunities we offer are available to the greatest number of young musicians and seeking to employ the very best conductors, tutors and pastoral staff. Travelling restrictions mean that auditions are currently being conducted online; staff are now working from home but you can always contact us on hello@nsso.org.
As the situation evolves it may become necessary to postpone the 2020 course, but we will keep all our members and their parents fully informed by email and anticipate a final review of the position by the end of April.
Meantime we have exciting plans for the 2021 course and a new range of activities which will help bridge the gap between annual courses. NSSO is in good heart and we look forward to sharing our plans with you after what would have been the Easter holiday.
Keep safe, keep in touch and continue to make music!
John Madden
