Now that auditions have been completed I have sent out most of the offers of places via e-mail this morning. I will be putting formal letters and invoices in the post later this week. If you have not heard anything by the beginning of next week please do not hesitate to contact me.
The deadline for applications to both orchestras has been extended to 6th February 2012. All instrumentalists can apply at this stage as auditions have not yet taken place. Downlaod your application form and send it in as soon as possible.
I am very excited that NSSO appeared on the BBC Oxford News this evening. A quintet of very lucky students from the 2011 orchestra had the chance to work with Patrick Doyle today in Oxford and the local news came to see what we were doing. If you missed it you can catch up on BBC iPlayer for the next 24 hours.
A very big thank you to all those who made a donation at this year’s concerts and to those who have made donations afterwards. This has given us enough to make a difference to 4-5 children next year who would not otherwise have been able to come on the course. If you would still like to make a donation or would be interested in funding a child next year please contact me as soon as possible via e-mail rebeccawoodward@nsso.org and I will be able to e-mail you a gift aid form and further details.

The NSSO is very excited to announce that we will be performing at the Frome Festival. The concert will be at 5pm on Saturday 16th July in St John’s Church, Frome.
We still have vacancies fro String players on both courses. In addition to this we are also looking for another French Horn for the NSSO course. The Young NSSO course also needs another French Horn, oboe and percussionists. If you know someone who is interested please pass on my contact details asap.
