Who are we? The National Schools Symphony Orchestra began in 1994. We are a high quality orchestra for young people aged 11 - 19, playing symphonic repertoire to a high standard. When to do we meet? The orchestra meets every July for a week of intensive music-making leading to a concert. Where do we meet? The course is always held in a residential school with good, modern boarding and leisure facilities and House staff provide excellent pastoral care. Why do we meet? To make music together to the highest standards as well as to make new friends and have fun. The week ends with a concert to which all parents, families and friends are welcome. How do I apply?
