John Tolputt (Chairman)

John is a former Headmaster of The Purcell School. Before that he was Head of Rendcomb College and before that Director of Drama at Cranleigh School. Currently he is a School Inspector and an Editor of The Poetry Archive.

Stefan Anderson

Stefan is currently Principal of Tring Park School for the Performing Arts. He is also Chairman of MADE (Music and Dance Excellence) – the organisation representing the nine specialist Music and Dance schools in the UK.  From 1995-2002 Stefan was Director of Music at The King’s School, Canterbury.

Rosemary Eaton

Married to Michael and with two nearly grown up sons Rosemary is currently a lecturer in accounting at the University of Wales, Newport having previously spent some years as the finance director and company secretary of a publishing company. Rosemary has been involved with organisations providing musical opportunities for young people for over ten years. In her role as trustee she is able to draw on these experiences and her professional accountancy qualification.

Peter Morris

Peter Morris is Director of Music at St Peter’s Collegiate Church, Wolverhampton, Conductor of Wolverhampton Symphony Orchestra and Organist at Walsall Town Hall.  He is delighted that his children have reached NSSO age.

Dave Sherwin

Having first played with NSSO in 1995, Dave has been involved with NSSO for 16 years.  He was principal cellist in the orchestra from 1996 to 2000 and joined the pastoral staff as a junior assistant in 2001.  Dave has worked on the majority of courses ever since and his roles have included co-ordinating social activities, acting as assistant housemaster and occasionally assisting with cello coaching.  In 2004 Dave co-founded the Brunel Sinfonia, now one of the south-west’s leading amateur orchestras.  Dave’s day-job is as a corporate finance solicitor and assists the trustees with legal matters.

June Taylor

Stephen Withers-Green

For the last 12 years, Stephen has been Bursar of St Edward’s School in Oxford where his duties include being Director of the North Wall Arts Centre. Before that, having originally trained as a chartered accountant, he was finance director of a company that provided computerised warehouse management systems. He is married with two practically grown up children.
