David Evans
David Evans has been involved in Music Education since the early 1980s. His interests lie in orchestral, chamber and sacred choral music, interests he has harnessed in the five public schools in which he has led music departments. David is passionate about getting children involved in music, and is foremost an enabler and educationalist. As a conductor, David has directed performances in many of the country’s leading concert halls and cathedrals, including The Royal Albert Hall, Snape Maltings, St John’s Smith Square, York Minster, St George’s Windsor, and St Paul’s Cathedral. Whilst running his first department in Suffolk in 1992, David worked with the IAPS Orchestral Board, and in 1993 formed the administration which was later to become NSSO. David has remained as Director of NSSO since these days, and is a member of the NSSO team looking forward to the challenges of developing ‘Young NSSO’ with the support of the IAPS Orchestral Trust.
Rebecca Woodward
Appointed as Administrator in 2008. Rebecca organises and oversees the day to day running of the orchestras, including applications and auditions. Previously she worked for four years as a member of the pastoral team. Rebecca is a graduate of Cambridge University where she studied Music with education after which she competed a PGCE and was an Assistant Director of Music at a school in Suffolk. Her main instrument is the clarinet and Rebecca currently lives in a Millfield Boarding house with her husband and daughter.
